Mavis Asamoah is a Registered Clinical Dietitian. Mavis has lived and studied most of her life in Canada and holds two BSc. degrees from the University of Alberta in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology and Nutritional Sciences. She is a member of the College of Registered Dietitians of Alberta, Canada, Dietitians of Canada, and ASPEN (American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition). She has worked in the areas of Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Surgery, Ear Nose & Throat Cancers, and Women’s Health to provide critical nutritional interventions to prevent malnutrition, micronutrient deficiencies in the care of clients with various disease states.
She is the resident Dietitian at Supreme Healthcare Management Services she provides a weight management consultancy and Nutrition related services to help clients achieve healthy eating habits and form active lifestyles. Mavis also provides services for Shepell. FGI, a Canadian based company. She also appears on a weekly radio program on Sweet Melodies called “Food in Focus”.
With her extensive knowledge and background, she has embarked on a campaign to promote healthy eating and active lifestyle to her fellow Ghanaians to aid in the prevention and treatment for numerous diseases and conditions. She is also a believer in people and their ability to change for the better especially when it comes to healthy eating and active lifestyles. Her motto is “Healthy Nutrition is integral to any cure”. |
